This is where we will provide you with additional home learning resources to support our children and families. Within this zone you will see links to a range of educational resources, including videos, activities and ideas to try at home.
Our Remote Education Offer: In the event of individual absence, class closure or wider disruption, we will provide remote learning that closely aligns with the in‑school curriculum. If a child is absent for a day or two due to illness, we would not expect work to be completed beyond usual reading as they would be expected to be back in school as soon as they were well enough to learn. If for any reason you did want some learning there are links to emergency work for each year group at the bottom of the page.
However, if there was a reason for a longer absence or wider disruption work would be set via Microsoft Teams with a balance of teacher‑led input (live or recorded), independent practice and feedback opportunities. Teachers would communicate expectations clearly and monitor engagement. You can find out more in the remote learning plans below which were written for
the Covid-19 lockdowns and include expectations about time for tasks and feedback that would be given.
SEND adaptations: Pupils with SEND receive personalised adjustments to remote learning, which may include simplified instructions, alternative formats, additional adult check‑ins, differentiated resources, and therapy/target work aligned with support plans. We work with families to agree practical arrangements.
Paper copies and access: If you need paper copies of remote learning or help with devices/connectivity, please contact the school office. Paper packs would be provided free of charge on request if there was a wider shut down.
Contact: For help with remote learning access or content, please contact Michelle Milne, Remote Learning Lead via the school office.
