"Peace begins with tolerance and respect for everyone." - Anon
At St John’s everything we do is underpinned by our 4 Christian Values:
Love, Kindness, Honesty and Forgiveness.
Religious Education has a significant role for the development of pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. It promotes respect and open-mindedness towards others with different faiths and beliefs and encourages pupils to develop their sense of identity and belonging through self-awareness and reflection. At St John’s Primary School, the aim of RE is to engage pupils in an enquiry approach where they can develop an understanding and appreciation for the expression of beliefs, cultural practices and influence of principle religions and worldviews in the local, national and wider global community. Our vision is to ensure children have the experiences, knowledge and access to key concepts underpinning religious ideas and practices that have shaped and continue to shape the world around them in order to help make sense of the world and themselves.
