A place to love, learn and grow.

Year 3

When children start in Year 3 they have moved into Key Stage 2, so the learning builds upon the structure they have experienced in Year 2 whilst moving towards a more independent approach to learning. Classroom displays are used to celebrate children’s learning and to encourage positive approaches to learning behaviours and our Pupil Promises. Working Walls are used to support independent learning and are accessed by the children throughout the school day.

Children will learn to take responsibility and control of their own learning journey, they will begin to understand the value of new knowledge and foster a love for uncovering fresh ideas. Children will be expected to meet the mature, high standards of a KS2 class and will learn their place as elders of the school.
