Year 2

Home Learning

Welcome to Year 2!

In our class we are becoming more independent in our learning. Our mornings consist of Phonics, Maths and English and we are working hard to embed all of the basic skills which children need for the rest of their school journey. Afternoons will in include grammar, guided reading, handwriting, theme work, PE, Science and Music. Our teachers are Mrs Milne and Mrs Hanson (Wed pm and Friday) working with the support of Mrs Khan and Miss Roe.

Hi, Year 2! I hope you are all good and managing to keep busy. If you are not on Twitter already, please try and get your adult to sign up and and follow our school at @SJohnRadcliffe. There are lots of ideas for home learning and you can keep up with what’s going on even when we are not in school. We have just started a reading challenge, so please get a pic of you and your family reading and upload to Twitter with the hashtag #readlearngrow. Here I am below with Penny reading Sugarlump and the Unicorn πŸ¦„  and Tommy trying to find Wally πŸ‘“. Stay safe and I hope to see you soon. Love Mrs Milne xxx
